DIRECTING FOR GUARDIAN LABS x Brittany Ferries
I was hired to direct and DOP two travelogue sponsored content doc films for Guardian Labs, sponsored by Brittany Ferries.
Each film document’s a different presenter (Clara Amfo & Julia Bradbury) as they travel via ferry to Brittany & Normandy and explore their own uncommon holidays.
From treatment, pitch to commission, Duncan decided the style and approach, even choosing which locations would work best for filming and showing the uncommon side of Brittany & Normandy.
Working with high-profile talent, the directing style was relaxed and natural feeling, leaning into the interests of each presenter and their unique vibe on camera.
Duncan was hired as part of a larger production crew for this job – Glasgow-based Jumpsuit Films managed the production side of things.
